Amongst all the noise and activity of city life, the calm of spring flowers offers a such a peaceful, pretty respite, especially this year.
Although I prefer the wild version of the common primrose or 'English' primrose, with its pale cream flowers, the purple-petalled primula, with its range of colours, from pastel to magenta is beautiful too, especially in the sunlight...
